From Magister Lvcentinvs, Master in Intellectual Property and Digital Innovation at the University of Alicante,led by the Commercial Law Team, headed by Professor Esperanza Gallego, we would like to thank the Executive Director of the EUIPO, João Negrão, for the EUIPO New Year’s Cocktail held today at EUIPO premises. The event, attended by the Rector of the UA, Amparo Navarro, and most of the Rector ‘s office team, has become a an unavoidable annual date in Alicante. Professors from the Magister Lvcentinvs attended the event, namely: Nuria Fernández, Pilar Montero, Pilar Iñiguez and Altea Asensi,joined by Theophile Margellos.
The event was opened by the Executive Director of the EUIPO, João Negrão, who highlighted the importance of promoting innovation from Alicante, as well as the different strategies for the dissemination and strategic use of intellectual property, especially among young people, women and SMEs. Attendees had the opportunity to attend the speech by Diana Morant, Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities, as well as addresses by the Second Vice-President of the Generalitat, José Luis Díez, and the Mayor of Alicante, Luis Barcala. Congratulations to EUIPO for its successes in 2025 and for the new projects planned for 2026!
