Magister Lvcentinvs, Master in Intellectual Property and Digital Innovation at the UA – University of Alicante.
Founded in 1994, its creation was linked to the designation of Alicante as the headquarters of the current European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
With more than 31 editions, this master’s program has trained professionals from all over the world thanks to the collaboration of leading institutions such as the EUIPO, the European Patent Office (EPO), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM), the Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO) and many others, as well as renowned judges, lawyers, and industry experts.

The Master’s Student Grants in Intellectual Property and Digital Innovation, Magister Lvcentinvs are now available to cover enrollment expenses. Academic Year 2024/25.
Recognition
El Mundo publishes the 2025 edition of the ranking of the best master’s degrees in Spain, in which the Magister Lvcentinvs is ranked first for its 31st anniversary.

Patents, Technology Transfer and Digital Innovations
Study of the legal regime of patents in national, European and international legislation. Special attention will be granted to innovations in the digital market and the effects of the use of disruptive technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, big data, blockchain, the use of electronic signatures and data protection regulations.
Trademarks, Designs, Copyright and Competition
Study of national, European and international regulations governing the main intellectual property rights and distinctive signs essential for both physical and digital market operators, including trademarks, trade names, domain names, designs and copyrights. Their interrelations are analyzed, as well as online infringements and the legal framework of digital platforms.
Legal Framework for Plant Breeding and Quality Distinctive Signs
This course focuses on the specific regulation of plant varieties, plant patents, as well as designations of origin and geographical indications, both agricultural and artisanal or industrial. It also covers traditional specialties guaranteed, collective and certification marks, and other quality regimes, along with advertising law as an essential tool for protecting various intellectual property rights.
