The Magister Lvcentinvs Concludes Its Intensive Week on EU Trade Marks and Designs at the EUIPO

From the Magister Lvcentinvs we would like to express our deepest gratitude to João Negrão, Executive Director of EUIPO – European Union Intellectual Property Office the possibility of closing the intensive week on EU trade marks and EU designs of the Magister Lvcentinvs at EUIPO.  The course, headed by professors Esperanza Gallego, NURIA FERNÁNDEZ PÉREZ, and Pilar Montero included speakers from both academia and the professional field, as well as attendants from more than 20 nationalities.  Our appreciation to Andrea Di Carlo, Deputy Executive Director for the welcome address to the EUIPO highlighting the office’s support for the young generations of IP experts. Thank you to Elisabetta Ferraro from the Legal Affairs Department for her insights about the practical implementation of the new European Union Designs regulation. Our gratitude also to Gustavo Andrés Martín Martin ,Magistrate from the Alicante Commercial Court N. 1, competent for the European Union Trade Mark in Spain. Thank you for never leaving anyone indifferent when it comes to finding the informed user!. It has been a privilege to be guided by Rahul Bhartiya, from the Digital Innovation Department, in exploring the Office’s extensive and impressive initiatives involving the use of Artificial Intelligence in trade marks and designs. Our deepest recognition to EUIPO Academy, particularly Director Prof. Vladia Borissova, PhD for the incredibile support to academic IP activities.   We would like to thank our partners in this course, particularly Professor Caroline Le Goffic from the Université de Lille, Professor Yann Basire and professor Stéphanie CARRE from Center for International Intellectual Property Studies – CEIPI . It has been a pleasure to share this week in Alicante discussing the latest trends in EU trade marks and designs. This intensive week has been possible due to the excellent academic coordination and commitment of the Magister Lvcentinvs professors in charge of the course, Vicente Gimeno Beviá and Marina Vázquez Esteban.
