Presentation of the Chair of International Intellectual Property Protection of the University of Alicante

This week has been the presentation of the Chair for the International Protection of Intellectual Property of the University of Alicante, created between the University of Alicante-Department of Commercial Law and the multinational ALIBABA.
The CHAIR FOR THE INTERNATIONAL PROTECTION OF INTELLECTUAL
PROPERTY was created with the aim of promoting the exchange of ideas between the academic and practical community on how to better protect intellectual property rights at an international level, with particular regard to the digital market.
The event was chaired by Mr. Juan Mora Pastor, acting Rector of the UA, and was attended by Mr. Juan Llopis Taverner, Director of Institutional Relations and UA Projects, Ms. Esperanza Gallego Sánchez, Director of the Chair, Mr. Matthew J. Bassiur, Vice President and Head of Alibaba´s Global IPR Enforcement Team, Ms. Pilar Montero García-Noblejas,Director of Magister Lvcentinvs, Mr. Graham Clemence, Senior Director in the Global IPR Enforcement Team at Alibaba, Ms. Nuria Fernández Pérez, Director of the Commercial and Procedural Law Department, Mr. Claudio Bergonzi and Mr. Jose Antonio Moreno Campos Directors in the Global IPR Enforcement Team at Alibaba. This chair aims to promote a safer market for digital platforms, businesses and consumers, ensuring a better understanding and respect for intangible assets protected by intellectual property rights.
