On June 13, 2024, we celebrated the Closing and Graduation Ceremony of the 30th Class of Magister Lvcentinvs, Master’s in Intellectual Property and Digital Innovation at the University of Alicante / Universitat d’Alacant in Alicante.
We must start by thanking the Executive Director of the EUIPO – European Union Intellectual Property Office, Mr. João Negrão, for the honor of being able to hold this academic event at the EUIPO, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the Office. We are also grateful for the warm and heartfelt speech he delivered to the recent graduates at the opening of this academic ceremony. A special thanks goes to the President of the European Patent Office, Mr. António Campinos, for his inspiring closing speech. We feel incredibly privileged by his presence at this event. And certainly, the closing of the ceremony by the Rector of the University of Alicante, Ms. Amparo Navarro Faure, was the perfect ending. Thank you very much, esteemed Rector.
It is difficult for us to thank so many distinguished speakers who made this event unforgettable for all of us. Our thanks go to the President of the CNMC (National Commission of Markets and Competition), Ms. Cani Fernández Fernández, the Director General of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, Ms. Elisa Rodríguez Ortiz, the Head of the Geographical Indications Unit of the European Commission, Mr. João Onofre, and the Deputy Director General of Intellectual Property at the Ministry of Culture, Ms. Lara Chaguaceda Bermúdez. Once again, thank you!
Finally, thanks to all the authorities, professors, and professionals from the academic, legal, institutional, and business worlds for being part of this very special day that will be remembered for a long time.
